The tenant companies of Springfield Technology Park may come in search of affordable and adaptable office space for lease, but what they find here is community and a home for creative innovation.
In that spirit, for our first blog we’d like to highlight a new work of creativity that has enhanced the space of one of our tenant companies, and contributed to Springfield Tech Park’s lively atmosphere.
A Vision of Businesses Growing Together
Our tenant, the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center Network (MSBDC) was recently donated an original and beautiful work of art commissioned for the Women Business Owners Alliance (WBOA). The piece, titled “Don’t Grow It Alone,” is a multimedia mural from visual artist Mary Kearney.
The MSBDC’s very mission is reflected in “Don’t Grow It Alone,” as every year they provide thousands of small businesses with the tools and guidance needed to become successful in today’s challenging economic climate. WBOA is equally committed to community as Pioneer Valley’s premier organization supporting the social and economic power of women in business.
Pieces of a Whole
The 4-paneled artwork measures 8’ by 8’ and is displayed on the upper level of the Scibelli Enterprise Center in Building 101 of the technology park. Though installed only recently, the mural has already been recognized by many as a great addition to the building, brightening the floor with its vibrant color scheme.
We thank the artist for her vision and her encouragement to grow in the supportive company of others. Big thanks also to the MSBDC for sharing the mural with the greater community here at Springfield Technology Park, where creativity is always on full display.
