Workforce Development

Established under an act of the Massachusetts Legislature, Springfield Techology Park and its Board of Directors has the statutory ability and capacity to partner with other entities in undertaking other development projects outside of the condines of the Park. Such development would have to further the mission of Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) and the mission of the Tech Park as it relates to technological development, education and workforce development.

This legislation was meant as a way to marry STCC, the Springfield Technology Park, and Springfield's central business districts together. This enables the STCC Assistance Corporation to participate as a catalyst in other development making for a more vibrant Downtown Springfield. This means the STCC Assistance Corporation could develop a partnership with a for-profit, a non-profit or even a governmental agency in developing other projects in proximity to the Park that would mutually benefit the STCC, the Tech Park and the City of Springfield.

Through its tenants and programming, the Business Growth Center at the Scibelli Enterprise Center and FutureWorks, the STCCAC is enabling businesses to start and grow and supporting community members to find employment.
